Dear Tammy,
Money can be joyful. Money doesn’t have to be limited to safety and security. Money can be abundance, alignment, fulfillment and meaning. Its ok to want something different out of a career than what is expected of you by others. Its ok to take calculated risks to pursue your dreams.
Time is your most valuable asset. Don’t spend time in places or with people that don’t feel safe to your nervous system. You deserve to feel safe. Its ok to quit stuff. It’s not failure, its courage.
Listen to your intuition. The more you attune to your intuition the stronger your gift will be. Trust yourself. Try to notice when you are making choices from fear instead of alignment.
Show, don’t tell. You don’t need to convince anyone that you “are right.” Its not about being right. Its about living a life that feels authentic to who you really are. Your financial choices do not need to make sense to everyone around you. There is no one right way to live a financially healthy life.
This money love letter is not only for my younger self, its for anytime I need gentle guidance returning to my path of growth, self-acceptance and being fully awake. Healing is not linear. I often meander and need a reminder of what I have discovered and learned about myself. I hope that some of it resonates with you, and helps you on your financial healing journey.
What would you say to your younger self about money? You could write your own letter, just remember to be compassionate. You were doing the best you could with the knowledge and resources you had at the time.
